'06 Giant Alias...
G'day 
I'm thinking of buying an '06 Giant Alias tomorrow and I have a few questions:
I have been recommended this bike thru another forum as a good beginners bike on a budget - What do you guys think?
What kind of bike is it exactly? I know it's a hardtail.. but what category would it fall into? Cross country or something else? Apparently it has an XTC frame, whatever that is? Also hydraulic disc brakes
The other forum has warned me not to use this bike for big jumps (I'd never do anything over 1m or something anyways I think), but it's obviously OK for small drops in trails etc?
Any comments on the bike welcome
