Suspension Fork... best bang for buck...

im new to mtn biking, and acquired a klein frame.. ive built tons of road bikes so assumed i could build a mtn bike too, but theres all these crazy parts ive never delt with before... like, a suspension fork... ill probobly look at ebay... im willing to spend... maybe up to 300 on a fork? but id ideally like to spend alot less... whats out there and what should i be careful of? etc etc im a total mountain bike noob.
Looking for 58-60cm Fat City Slim chance (frame, complete whatever) any year.

I have the air sprung version of this fork, and it's quite possibly the best bang-for-the-buck fork on the market for less than 300.

That's a big +1 for the air sprung Tora 318. It is unequaled in this price range.
