Difference in rotors!!!
I currently have Hayes HFX9 disc brakes and have been very happy with them. I recently bought a second wheelset that I want to get new rotors for. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the cool looking rotors that look like saw blades. I really like the looks of them but dont want give up any performance. Is there a difference in rotors or are they all comperable to each other?

Rotors are rotors are rotors. The shaped rotors, might cool a bit better, but they mainly just look bad ass. I get the same excellent braking performance out of my Hope Gothics
as I did out of the stock Avids. You could go with $15 Aztec rotors and still get pretty much the same performance.

Not to totally disagree with Raiyn but rotors aren't rotors, aren't rotors, aren't rotors but pretty close. Different shapes can make a difference in braking power, feedback in the handlebars, and noise and in some cases the only way to find out which work best on your particular setup is to try different types.
For instance, my Prophet came with Juicy 7's and what Avid called the Polygon brake rotors and they were the noisiest things in the world. They made noise when they were wet, dry, hot, cold and the front rotors caused vibrating feedback in the grips. I ride with the owner of the shop where I bought the bike and was able to dig through some of his leftovers and finally we found that using Avids G2 rotor with organic pads the brakes were quiet except when wet and feedback to the handlebars was greatly reduced. Since then I've been extremely happy with my braked with the only downside being that the organic pads don't hold up as long as semi-metallics, or whatever they are. So, you may be able to buy any rotor you won't and have them work beautifully right out of the box but don't be surprised if they don't.
