freeriding pedals

what pedals do you use on your freeride or dh bike?
im looking at syncros mentals, and sunline v3. They are very different pedals, but they both look pretty sturdy, i want as grippy as can be. * i do realize that with the syncros i will need shin guards

Those syncros look pretty intense. I use Primos or DX's. After you auger them into a ground enough times it doesn't really matter what they are as long as the bearings don't fall out and you can replace the pins when they get ground off/fall out.

Shimano makes the DX's, and the Primo is the brand. I believe the pedal is called the Tenderizer. Kinda old but I have a couple pairs and they hold up well.

ive have seen those tenderizers before. the shimanos are a bit out of my price range since both the syncros and the sunline are out of what i want to spend also.

I like them, just make sure you get the sealed bearing ones. There a little more money, but still not bad and hold up a lot better.

If you can afford to get the syncros mentals go for them. Amazing pedals! Frankly, I would stay clear of Crank Bro 50/50 pedals. The plates have a tendency to loosen up.

because in the unlikely event that i do slip off they will cause nasty pedal bite. also i will not be getting them because they are not the ones with replaceable pins

Ouch! Well I would definitely get some other pedals that do not bite if I were you.

Very true.

I lost a couple screws at the start of the season. Sent Crank Bros and email and had 10 replacement screws in 2 days. Stuck a little lock tight on them and everything is perfect now.
