Did I screw up?
Months ago, I had wanted to get a pair of 2007/08 Answer Palisade shoes, mainly because I like the lower profile look of a road shoe, but they have rubber soles, and not hard nylon. Thus, nicer for walking.
However, I got kind of hung up on the Sette Enduro shoe, because it has the nice rubber soles, and they were cheaper than the Answer Palisades.
However, I did a search, and found them for a good price, but still a little more expensive than the Sette Enduros. So, I went to Cambria Bike Outfitters, and did a PRICE SMASH.
WOOHOO!!! They gave me a discount. So, I got the Palisades for $45 shipped. That's a couple bucks cheaper than the Enduros, but I like the looks of them better. If CBO accepts the price smash, they will be the awesom'est dudes on this big ball of Earth. YEEEEE HAAAWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, all that said. I have found NO reviews on the Palisade shoes. At least nothing on the new 07/08 model. I can only assume that since they have more of a road profile, they will be stiffer like a road shoe?
Or, did I majorly screw up on my attempt to pick up a pair of reasonably priced shoes for XC'ing?
What do you all think?

P.S. I'm not planning on racing, so I just couldn't see spending $100 on really good racing shoes.

I think you'll have to try them on, and let us know what you think.
For what it's worth, they look cool..
Shoes, as well as the feet that go into them, are so different depending on the individual. I guess a review is good to get a feel for the quality of the material and build.
Personally, I could never buy a pair of shoes without trying them on. I wish I could.
Good luck, let us know what you think. You certainly got a good deal.
