so if you had to get one of these, they are the same price, and are both freeride/downhill bikes, which would you get and why? linky numero uno and linky numero dos

Personally I would go with the Coiler. Manly for the extra travel at you get.

You have two different types of bikes there. One is a DH bike, and the other is a XC bike.

No, one is a long-legged trail/light freeride bike and the other is a purpose-built four-cross bike. Go with the Coiler. It's built for what you are looking for a bike to do. The geometry on a four-cross bike is very specific to its use.

number two. I would like to have lockout though.

I would get the Howler. It would make a mean slope style bike.

i got a P.2 i wasn't really considering either of these bikes they were about 600 bucks out of my price range just wanted to see what people thought about them.

But fortunately, it's not limited to ONE use. I know you have seen highrevs' pics of our buddy on his red/white Howler, riding XC, DH, FR, DJ, and even some FJ. It's a great all-purpose bike if you can live with a single chainring.

mtnbk3000 06-27-07 06:17 PM

i ride a single chainring on my current bike and i will ride both s single ring with 8 speed, and single speed on mky new p.2
