My Trip Down The Pipelines (with pics)
Well after an afternoon shower i figured it would be a nice time for a bike ride. I had planned on just riding a few miles around town for some exercise. Then i got the bright idea to ride the gas pipelines. These things are everywhere in Alabama and go for mile and miles. Some of it is tall grass, some atv trails, some of it utility truck ruts and as always some big climbs and some super fast downhills. I plan on going back and taking some more pictures but these were taken near the end of my ride. Hope you enjoy.

Looks like fun. I would be afraid that gas might leak and get on you. OR the some crazy creature lives out there. :eek:

nah no leaks. its tons of fun though. A lot of it is downhill fast to with some jumps

wow.. flat gas lines... the ones around here are all up and down with no flats.. good for ATV, but on bike I have to push a few of the hills. What city are those in?

Ha Ha Ha. Just yesterday I was riding a pipeline as well in North Carolina. They are fun downhill with little mumps that randomly occur on it so you can get some air. The climbs are really long and pretty steep, but their still kinda fun. Only problem is that if you go slow, thousands of sweat flys and other lil bugs will land all over you and sometimes sting you.

Im in alabaster. Thats were the trails are. Come around sometime and i will show you. You start off on a big hill which gives you enough momentum to go up the rest no problem
