Di I need better forks?

First off, I ride mostly through trails, with some city and small jumps. I have found that my fork compresses 1/2 way during normal use and some jumps/hopping over obstacles. I would like to get these: Marzocchi
But I'm not sure if I need them.
I have currently the SR Suntour XCM, 100mm Travel, with preload adjusters, aluminum crown and lowers on my K2 Attack 1.0SE Link To Product page
So, Should I get better forks? Remember, I just started out.

Not a problem. If anything, you should be running less preload if you're not getting full travel at some point during the ride.
I don't want to bottom them out. Btw, There is a gage at the top of the shocks, with + and - and some in between. What should it be set at to get less preload?

I had the same thought 2 weeks ago when I purchased my Giant Rincon, and it has the XCM on it too. I was going to buy a new fork for it the day after I bought it, but I realized that it was stupid to drop over $100 on a BRAND NEW bike when there isn't anything wrong with it. I'm going to ride on it for one season, and If I still don't like it this christmas, then i'll buy a new fork. I advise you to do the same, ride on it for one season, and if you don't like it, save up and get one then.

I did the same with my Rincon. Just waited until i thrashed it and bought a Dart 3. Now i want to make a pogo stick of the XCM. That will be my task for staurday. A preload adjustable pogo stick.
