Selling a bike.
T'is a long time since I've posted here (mainly because I've enjoyed a couple of years good riding with no problems).
I'm currently looking at buying a new bike (An Orange Crush suits my needs exactly), but I can't justify having two bikes. More so when the new one will make the old one redunant. So I'm going to sell my Giant AC.... which does pain me as I put it togther myself, but I've no idea who much to ask for it.
I wonder if anyone can help?
The frame is a 2003 Team Edition Frame (mainly black with all the sponsor logos on) which I brought 2nd hand for £230 (circa $460). The shock is a pre-propedal design.
The forks are some 2003 Sherman DC Double crown 150mm forks. I paid £130 (circa $260) for them (again 2nd hand) and replaced the oil in them a year ago.
I've never had a problem with either.
The rest of the parts are a mix and match of parts that I've brough over time. Ranging from a brand new Deore Crankset and BB to an old ripped and torn saddle.
I'm thinking of asking for £300 (circa $600) for the bike. Is this too much or too less? There are some parts I've brought recently that I will swap back, but for what the bike is it seems a fair price.

Your bike is worth whatever someone is willing to pay you for it. Put it on Ebay with a reserve set to the minimum you would take and not feel awful about and let it go.
You may want to clean it up well and replace a few obviously worn parts like the saddle. It will probably help you get a lot more for it.

Hello mate..
Split the bike, the parts are normally worth more than the whole bike... Depending on the condition of the frame (I have one too) i bought mine last year with the obvious scratches for £200 so they still sell really well. have a look at www.southerndownhill.com and split it there, you'll have no problems shifting the bits in the classifieds.
