Suspension Fork Upgrade

I have a Trek 3900 with a 70mm travel fork and was wondering how much more travel I could put on the bike before I mass up the geometry to much.

80mm would be safe, at 100mm you'll feel the handling get a bit slower, 120 and above will wreck your handling.
