Madwagon Trailblaster
I have a MadWagon Trailblaster that I purchased at my LBS last summer for around $200, on sale. It has no actual suspension, but it is styled like the old mountain bikes of the late 80's and early 90's in the fork. I don't know the type of aluminum, but I am pretty sure it is 6061 (I took all the stickers off but the madwagon sticker)
I was considering putting front suspension on it and using it for XC, but I can't seem to find a threadless stem that will put the bars forward where I want them, about 2.5"
I will mainly be riding rough trails and occasionally using it as a means of short distance transportation. I currently have some road biking tires on it.
So I pretty much need a good XC fork/stem combo, and a new set of tires.
Any reccomendations?
I would be happy to take a picture of the bike, if anyone wants to see it.
Oh, and this bike is not a major brand, but the parts are good quality and the actual bike has never failed me with regular work.

Yep, they went belly-up this spring.
They went from well-selling road/trail bikes to 60's style comfort bikes, and there went thier business...
Okay, I will try to snap a couple of pics.
How I know its not a road bike is its frame angle. No road bikes would put the angle there. It looks like the 90's mountain bikes, like I said before.
