bike carriers, European regulations
I'm off on holiday to Austria, via Belgium and Germany. I'll be taking my bike with me on a high-mounted, strap on cycle carrier. Neither my car's registration plates nor its lights will be blocked by the bike. Can anyone tell me if there are any regulations I should be aware of in any of the countries above for transporting bikes with strap on carriers.
Thanks.
Thanks.

None in the UK as long as you make sure of the stuff you've already mentioned and watch out for signs saying low bridge ahead.
As for the euroland, not sure but would quite happily drive as in the UK until arrested or shot.
