You guys are SOOOOO helpful.
Check around at some of your local bike shops and talk to other riders in your area. Freeride competitions are getting more and more popular. Heck even down here in FL there is a comp about once a month. Start competing in those and when you start winning on a regular basis, put together a resume on your riding. If you have the ability, put together a Video Resume, where you get some footage of your actual skills. Send this to companies and let them know what you're going to do for them, how you're going to represent them, promote them and their products.
There are several books available on how to get sponsorship, get to Barnes and Noble and check them out!
