Is this Viper bike any good?
 

I'm thinking to buy this for £500 new. Is it worth it?

Have you guys ever heard of those bikes before?

It looks spiffy. Has a wierd componet mix though.

It's about average spec for that price. Viper bikes are more established in mainland Europe than the UK, but like other brands (eg. focus and pinnacle) they have spread with the rise of internet shopping. Although I don't doubt that they are decent bikes, I would prefer to go with a known quantity such as a Specialized Rockhopper, GT Avalanche or Giant Xtc (insert other brands here), unless of course you can test ride it and decide it's the bike for you.

In a more direct answer to your question, yes, it is worth £500
