Trials bike - $Price$ and Review

Ahh, I may be back in the bike market for a trials bike.. I haven't done any research on them as of yet, so I figured I'd ask you guys. What are some of the better models and brands as I know nothing about them. Also what am I looking at (money wise) when purchasing one of these toys. I have only seen one BS in my area that sells them so most likely I would be purchasing it over the net. All the help I can get would... well be helpful..

thx
-Joe

I've also looked into a GIant AC1 (which isn't trials) because it is more of a hard hitting bike... but... I don't have that kind of cash right now. If I could get a used one that would be wonderful.

For a good source of Trials products, go to www.webcyclery.com they do a lot of Trials Products, and could definately steer you in the right direction.

A firend of mine bought a monty a while ago for around 350. they seem to be a good brand. He has messed up more drops then I can recall (It was his first attempt at trials after a trek 4500...) and it seems to be in fine shape. It has a cromoly frame, though, so it is around 25-26 pounds.

By the sound of it, I think Wait is looking for a stock bike. A mod bike is not without its advantages (in fact, they're quite numerous). However, they're good for little else besides trials. Most people I know go with a stock bike they can use for other things along with trials.
