anyone know anything about this GT???

I recently aquired this FS Gt MTB from my girlfriend's father. He doesn't ride anymore and he knows how much i love bmx or cycling in general. I used to ride mtb five years ago and have been wanting to get back in. So i have cleaned it up and what not but im wanting to know more about it, like what the setup is commonly used for and the model information, because while i ride the bike i feel like all my weight is on the front. Back when i had the schwinn mesa le, its riding characteristics were totaly different.

Thats the weirdest rear triangle ive ever seen.
I can see how you would get that feeling though. On that note, pretty much every bike has different riding characterisitcs.

Cant help you identify it sorry.

Edit: LOOK!! His barends are sticking straight up!!
