Giant Warranty RULEZ!

See here for the gnarly details...
http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...giant+warranty

It's here, it's built and it's shock is AMAZING! I've ridden it only twice - still dialing the Manitou Swinger in...it is simply AMAZING, it so plush to bumps and so dead to pedal input...it's unreal, it's magic.

And it's pretty darned light for a 6.5" travel rig...32.4lbs.

The magical shock:

Cool scoots.

bac 07-30-03 06:26 AM

That's one good looking scoot, bikeCOLORADO! Let us know your impressions of the new shock after a few more rides.

ThanX!! :)

bikeCOLORADO 07-30-03 07:37 AM

Drat! Problems this morning...third ride on it was this morning. I set the air chamber to 100lbs on Monday afternoon. I checked the air chamber pressure this morning and it was at ZERO. I pumped it up and it felt great, just hoping it was a fluke (not bloody likely though). I'll be riding this afternoon again - I'll check it and report back again...

Hmmm
Should I fill out this registration card that came with my bike and send it to Jamis? heh I've already broken a crank and I've had it for about a week. I got the crank fixed free at the bike shop that I bought at though. I think he fixed it out of pity since I had to walk there :P

bikeCOLORADO 07-30-03 12:27 PM

I'd definitely fill out the registration card...unless:

You plan to sell the bike pretty soon and would like to use the warranty as a selling point.
You plan to return the bike to the store for a refund.

I got to tell you .... the shock is darn near magic.

And it's not leaking anymore. Turns out the Schraeder Valve Core on the shock was not tight at all (barely finger tight). It's tight now...and it's NOT LEAKING!

Yet another company picking up on the Manitou Swinger Technology:

BigHit-Maniac 07-31-03 06:10 PM

Wow.

Thats a very big pimpin' rig there BikeCO' !

:D

My friend Shane rides one... with a Jr.T on it, and a stock Air shock in the rear. He's gone *BIG* on his... and has no problems. (he landed front happy on his previous fork, bent the sh** outta the fork... and the frame lasted)

It was great.

Enjoy the rig man! Come out to Manhattan KS sometime and party it up with me and the freeride gang. We're only a 8 hr drive east of Denver :D

bikeCOLORADO 07-31-03 08:08 PM

I've gone as big as 6ft...that was before I broke the frame. Nothing bigger than 2-3ft so far with the new frame (waiting for a bigger spring). Since the frame is a small...it came with a 400lb spring, which is a wee bitty thing for my beefy 185lb body. So a 500lb spring will be here next week.

You guys should come out HERE...though the altitude might just about kill you...

LOL

Thanx bro.

;)

Get OFF that seat if you want to balance well! Let your bike float back and forth beneath you. You'll fall off a curb sittin on your seat!

NICE PICS! BTW!

hehehhe  nawww. I actually balance easier on my seat in a lotta' cases... heh.

I can balance on LONG curbs while sitting down.

Only time I usually stand is when there's "stunts" or things to hop.... hehehe. Maybe I'm lazy... ? I dunno... lol. I just find it better to sit down for log rides like that one was.

P.S ... if you want more pix.. ( I have over 400 of my trip) ... I'm MtnBikeHucker on AIM... gimmie' a holla' .

;)
