GREAT ride today!
<RAMBLE>
i had a GREAT ride today.
i was sitting in my basement and i heard the call of my bike again... so i suited up and headed out.
as usual, rode over to my highschool, which is adacent from the trails i ride, to fill up. i was meandering up the parking lot at a leasurely 10mph, when a carload of seniors pulls up behind me(note: this is a large wide parking lot, they could have easily passed me) and start honking thier horn and screaming "GET OUTTA THE WAY *******! STUPID FAGGET!! NICE HELMET *****!" while laughing raciously and the like.
i pulled up onto the curb and they pull up next to me and the vocal baggering continues... i'm starting to get a little frustrated so i ride off into the woods and wait for them to go away.
they leave, i fill up my bottles, buy my powerade from the machine, and head out.
i get to the trails and tell myself that i'm gonig to ride harder, faster, and more confidently than ever.
boooy did i ever!!
i averaged something like 15mph through the singletracks... the uphill double track slowed me down because its insanely technical..
i started worring less about controlling my speed and more about controlling my LINE. i relized that when i focused on handling instead of being afraid of going too fast, i discovered a whole new flow and style to my biking. it was like flying.
i went through about 5 miles of trails.. then headed back to the highschool, refilled, and biked around my town center for a while taking it easy. headed home... decided to joyride through some of the rich-people streets... was wandering around admiring the BMWs and Mercedes they all have... i felt sooo relaxed from getting everything out on those trails..
ah i love this sport.

i happen to be a football player, and perhaps during the game we may rest every 20 seconds.. but in practice we sprint for 30 minutes straight.
trust me.. we can keep going

What's a car full of seniors doing in the high school parking lot in the middle of the summer? Oh, thats right they're probably there for summer school
This is like the second thread I've seen where somebody has said a bunch of high school kids have insulted them for wearing a helmet and stuff. Wth? Stupid kids
