Anyone ride a KHS soft tail?

I've been looking to upgrade from my '98 Trek 8000 and was originally only looking at hardtails, but a used KHS Team ST recently caught my eye. Much of my riding is done on typical easy coast singletrack with roots and rocks and hills. I don't do DH, jumps or anything like that. Mostly XC. I think for the riding I do, FS is overkill, but the idea of a ST sounds like it might be an option. Just wondering why I don't see more on the trails or in the shops? So, I'm looking for some advice from anyone with soft tail experience.

Also, not the lightest guy in the world (~220 lbs.) if that matters with soft tails.

Thanks.

I recentlly went from a Trek HT to a custom built KHS XC604 with Fox Float RP3 rear shock and can't say how much I love it. IT climbs like a friggon billy goat and eats the trail alive. I know your looking at a softtail which I don't think they even make anymore..

Yeah, I think the only company that really makes softails any more is Salsa (someone told me Cannondale's Scaple doesn't count). FWIW, I see a few at the races everytime I'm there.

I'm also riding a FS KHS (2007 Team bike) and like it alot. Not having any problems with it and this is my first full suspension bike.
