Good bike frame?

My friend said he's looking to sell his Origin8 full suspension frame and I am interested in buying it. Does anyone know anything about these frames. It's all aluminum and weighs less than 6 pounds. Tell me what you think. Here's the website.

He told me to make him a offer. How much should I offer? The frame is brand new, never used. He was going to build it, but he lost interest, so now he's selling it. It's a large(I think 21 inch).

Are you sure the frame fits you? A 21 inch bike is pretty big. Most larges are around 19".

I'm 6'3" and my inseam is 34.5 inches. It's also a xc racing bike. Aren't those supposed to be a little bigger?

Well by the sounds of it you have a pretty long torso. I am 5'10.5" and I have a 32.5" inseam (real inseam not pants size). You might be able to get by with it, just make sure you have plenty of stand over height.

It's brand new! Have you seen the pictures and specs on the website. Does it look like a good frame? He just emailed me and said he would take $350 for it! Should I do it?

shock or not shock? i dunno, it looks like a good frame, if u dont mind spending the money do it. as i say, its not a ripoff if u like it (or think its not a ripoff) i just got a Noro bigfoot frame. the guy was taking best offer, i said $200 to start, cuz i didnt want to start to high, u know. then he emails me and says $150. i thought right away, great for me, RIPOFF for him. but then i thought, he said $150, thats all he wanted, so if hes happy, its not a ripoff. and also, the frame if perfect, no dents, and only like one or two scratches/nicks.

well if its a good shock, get it, well, even if its not, cuz most brand new full suspension frames cost atleast $1000, with shock. so ya, id say get it. you have to remember that building can cost up to double the price of a new bike, so make sure you know what your getting into. plan a parts list and such, and make sure everything is compatible. and use jenson usa as much as possible, but only make 1 or 2 orders, cuz the shipping and handling adds up, and makes it pointless to get it from them.

A few people just want to give someone a bargain from time to time, like the guy you mention above, you offered him $200 and he gave it to you for $150! thats a nice guy, a lot of people will call him stupid or tell everyone how he ripped himself off, when in all reality, he's just a really nice guy there are cool people out there, you just have to find them, I tend to keep them as freinds as we give each other great deals, not to mention we are a dying breed as for the frame you (MtbRider84) want to buy, just like they said, if you like it, its worth it

is this the RPG fullsuspension frame??

$350 is a great price for the Origin-8 RPG FS 26" MTB frame. I can't tell you the wholesale price but I can tell you it's a good bit more than $350. So that frame for $350 is a steal. Steal it before someone else does.

ya, the nice guys are definitly a rare breed. its actually kinda funny buying from him, cuz i always give ppl really good deals on stuff. when your the one buying, its a whole other thing. and hes definitly really nice cuz the next day he was on msn and messaged me, ''anything wrong witht the frame?" he was so sure from looking it over that there was nothing wrong, so he didnt mind asking. what has the world come to these days eh? not enough nice guys, though it isnt that bad of a thing
