Saracen Ruftrax 4 Bike vs Giant Yukon

I've been out of the MTB scene for 6 years now but I'm tired of my <cringe> hybrid which seems to be made of some new metal that rusts like crazy and need a new bike. I'm going to use it for commuting for the next 12 months (ie dirt or grass) until I move back to Canada where I want to use it for XC (wooded 'trails' in low hills) an have as much versatility as I can get for my limited budget.

It'd be ideal if I can get a good solid frame with components that I can just replace if I need to when I go back to riding more.

Two bikes on for a great price (early 2007/late 2006 models): Saracen Ruftrax 4 Bike vs Giant Yukon

Anybody have comments on the components or frames of these two?
