First one I kept for 3 years (still have the mothballed frame).
Next for 2. Sold frame.
Next for 3. Sold bike.
Current = less than one year. May get sold.

Have my Proflex going on about six years now? It was my first "real" bike, made in '98 but I bought it still new never used around 2001-2002?

Going on 7 years (I think) with the same frame. The wheels, fork, brakes, and drivetrain (excluding the front deraileur) are all less than two years old.

I've had my bike for almost 2 years and it'll probably have to last until I break it. Which hopefully will be at least a couple of years off.

edit: Oh and the other bike I had for a solid 4 months or so before it was stolen while locked with 2 locks. Damn crackheads.

I keep mine for quite a while. I generally keep them at least a few months each. Sometimes up to a year even. Actually, one of my roadies I kept for almost three years, I only rode for about two years though. I kept my Truth for almost two years. I only rode it for one year though. I kept my Superlight for two years as well.

Most bikes I keep and race for one season though.

I got my GT in 94 I think and it is still going strong today. I have been thinking about replacing it but want to make sure I'll ride the new one before dumping money into it

Every bike I've had since '91 has either been stolen, thrown out (broken), or I still have.

If I like the bike, I'll run it till it breaks.

Built my Fat Chance in '99, and still have it. I've upgraded everything but the Arch Supremes + Speed Dials, and Manitou XS Carbon. Still got the Rhygin too.

On my third summer with my Giant AC and will likely keep it till I
get tired of it. And that's not looking like any time soon.

Purchased a Hardtail back in April just to play around with and
have had a blast with it. It's a lowend HT so I'll ride it till it
breaks, if it breaks, if not, just upgrade it.

I keep them a long time. (You didn't ask if I get another one and keep the previous bike).

That's all very conditional - - it's provided that they like what I've done this year enough to re-up me for next year and I move to a Blindside.

Next year hope to catch a National and it's already confirmed that I'll be doing my first Sea Otter. Woohoo!

Me loves Sea Otter! That's ironic, I was just searching for places to stay down in Monterey for an 18 year old. Looks like I might be pitching the tent! Just hope I can get a good night sleep before race day
