I guess that you have never bothered to check out my other posts. If you want to do street and dirt jumping you'd be best off just getting a bmx bike. Despite me having ran a hardtail for about 3-4 years, you'd think I would have been a dj/street person, MTB's on the street and dirt jumps just don't make sense to me. I'd sooner pin it down some fast singletrack, or do shuttle runs or session at a pump track instead of riding a mtb on something it wasn't made for. The 2 to 3 year thing kind of started things off on the wrong foot. Respect has to be earned, and a good first impression is the key to getting respect from me.

The argyle was an ok fork. It was a frikken tank of a fork though, the fork tracks weird. The steerer tube bends fairly easy. It also had the axle to crown height of my 08 Talas RLC in the 120mm setting. You'd be better off getting the Marzocchi 4x world cup instead. The argyle was a let down for me, replaced my pike team with it, and have been kicking myself in the rear ever since until I got the Fox.

Edit, was forced to running a headlock on the argyle was never able to get a star fangled nut to settle in the steerer tube for longer than 3 days.

YOU ARE MY ****ING HERO! FINALLY A MOUNTAIN BIKE GUY OTHER THEN ME GETS IT!

Also, get some Surly Endomorphs, they're probably the best tyres for your type of riding.

i don't know.....my lbs carries the k-rads, but not the holy rollers. I'm sure there's one farther away; but i don't know if it's worth it. I really like them and i see no reason no to get them. I also noticed they're 2.4" which is morethan i need - i might have clearance issues if i got them. The guy at the lbs where i got my Alite 500 said not to put tires wider then 2.35".....so.

It's a frikken 1/10th of a bloody dang inch, it's not going to matter since there is no standard in tire width sizing.

But seriously what's the difference between the two?

2.2, the maxxis is a bit more adaptable, I have a set for hardpack courses, but rarely use them.

I guess whatever i choose, i choose - i still like the k-rads though and i could go pick some up tomorrow....................................... but same with the holy's.

ok, i take it back...i still don't know what to do. Hey what do you guys think about a 2.4" holy roller upfront with a 2.2" in the back? that's what's on the Kona Cowan. Maybe i'll go all 2.2". What combo would be best?

Or you could pick your own tires and stop letting the internet make your decisions.

i think you have made the right choice, but in the future make your own decisions, get what YOU want, and use what we say as more of a guideline.
