single track in MD?

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a website (or even a track) that has good single tracks in MD. I have been itching to break in my new mountain bike. I live in Anne Arundel county.

Thanks for your help

Ryan

google will get you trails faster than this forum will, here's a few sites with some trails in MD, i dunno what cities are in AA county though

https://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-st...53_918crx.aspx

https://www.dirtworld.com/trails/traillist.asp?id=20

those are ok but the best trails i found near me were by searching local government sites.

here's a google search for "singletrack trails in maryland"

https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...nd&btnG=Search

And some books at amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Baltimore-Trai...e=UTF8&s=books

https://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Bike-...e=UTF8&s=books

https://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Biker...e=UTF8&s=books

i also found some trails in my area by going to maps.google.com and just looking around for large green spots (usually state parks) then switch to satellite mode and see if i can see any trailheads, or just drive to the parks and check them out. or you can go to a bike shop and just ask what's good ridin around there, they like it better if you ask it while buying something, but they give free advice too

MORE-MTB.org - "Where to Ride"

The MORE site is loaded with info on DC-area mountain biking. Think about joining too if you want to contribute to all of the trail and MTB advocacy they do.

Check out Patapsco ryan, great trails, rated as one of the best in MD, I visit Loch Raven in Towson a few times a week. Patapsco is in Ellicot City.

My favorite course so far.

Patapsco is supposed to bet one of the best I hear, but I have not been there yet. Rosaryville State Park is my favorite so far! It is a freaking roller coaster. You can go either direction, but I recommend the entrance the is opposite of the parking lot entrance, not the one in the parking lot. Get there early and avoid the rush, because with bikes flying around in both directions, is gets hairy

Perimeter Trail 7.5 miles - moderate to difficult
This trail circumnavigates the park, providing hikers, cyclists and horseback riders with a tight, twisty, single-track route. The trail passes primarily through the woods, providing plenty of shade during hot summer months. The western section of this trail is mainly easy to moderate in difficulty. The trail in the eastern section has moderate to difficult terrain with more technical sections and frequent short hills that provide challenging climbs.

If you want to meet there and ride, that would be cool too. A friend and I ride it every Sunday.

avalon area of patapsco is awesome. Some really good riding there, highly recommended. If you park at rockburn park, you can do some warm up loops on easier singletrack.

Also, mckeldin area is pretty good too. easier that avalon.

I suppose ann arundel county is a little far away, I'm from howard county, and these places are pretty close. I highly recommend patapsco though.
