Finally Purchased: Santa Cruz Nomad '07

So I tried out many bikes from Gary Fisher, Trek, Giant, Specialized, and Transition. I liked how this bike rode best out of all bikes I tried except the '08 Specialized Enduro SL Expert which was very easy to maneuver yet durable, but just a hair over the budget. I even chose the Santa Cruz over an '05 Enduro SL Expert b/c it was a smoother ride. I'm very happy with the purchase, and will be posting pics sometime tomorrow when there is some light to take pics. Thanks for all of the input guys!! Now it's time to ride!!!

you are hereby obliged to take a picture of every component on the bike. We expect no less than 20 pictures in this very thread by this time tomorrow.

Wow! I had no idea you were stepping it up that much!

Just goes to show you that...you really don't know what you want until you actually get to ride it, eh?

It's comical...you began saying "I want a hardtail", but that tune quickly changed to "I want a dually that can handle 'some jumps' and is comfortable on the trail".

Now you've decided to go with a bike that can in theory be ridden comfortably on Epic "all day" singletrack, or hucked off some small cliff somewhere.

I've I'd known you would settle for something that heavy, I'd have suggested the Nomad for sure. Your aversion to weight was what took my suggestion down to the Heckler and even Superlite.

Good job though dude! I hope to have that much coin to toss at somebody some day.

Pics fur sure!
