upgrade bro!

giant stp-2, heres what i really want done.

instead of 2 speed front derailer, get a single speed and but a chain protector on
does anyone have any suggestions of brands, costs, problems?

i know that the rear derailer might be a problem, so i was considering investing in a smaller one, depends though, again suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

also goign to buy some pedals, i think there called "50's" or sumthing

Ok, what kind of riding are you doing?

Im assuming dirtjumping, and trail riding/downhill, considering you ride an stp, no?

Don't listen to MulletArgyleDumbass. He has no idea what he's talking about, he just goes with what anyone on this forum says.

what the hell? i don't pick things because they look nice, i pick things because they work well; how is a hussefelt a 'nice looking' crank? a crank is a crank, who cares as long as it works? i suggested it because i have ridden bikes with the huss' cranks and i liked it. and no, i'm not an idiot, but thanks for trying to join the bandwagon with everyone else in the "MulletArgyleDumbass" game, i appreciate it.

Piss off already, do us all a favour. Youre making kids on forums worldwide look like complete idiots.

To the OP: Whats your budget?
Od say E-13 for the bashy/guide and 08 Shimano Shadow if youre concerned about it getting damaged.

I knew a guy called Jordan Wallace once.
Anyway.

It could easily be done. LBS says 08 XT Rear Der. (Shadow) was 140 i think.
Still not sure what kind of riding youre doing, but you can get a Gamut G25 from XXIV for 230 AUD.
Gamut are a very well respected product, especially over here.
http://www.xxiv.com.au/gamut/g25.html
Theres the link.

i wasn't telling you to make it as many colors as possible, i was saying the best components you can afford in whatever color it comes in, don't make it look like a whale's projectile vomit.

I know, i wasn't looking for a 'colour scheme', just quality components however they come
