I feel like an idiot

hey, i just found out today that a few of my friend's are building a bike park behind my back. ive seen it from a distance, and i dont tthink they saw me looking, but what do i do? its on a friends land, and its pretty stupid because they wont let him help. so i was over today, without my bike since his is broken, and ya, he told me. the reason i feel like an idiot is because im going to the town council meeting tomorrow (oct. 1) and asking for a bike park. my 2 best friends that are working on it say they cant come, i think i know why, but what do i do? go down there while theyre working, or skip the meeting or something, help me please, thanks!

I can't understand teenagers let alone their way of communicating.

norco_rider77 - Whoa, there, young fella. You're carrying a lot more angst than you need to. I suggest going to the town meeting which will probably be a lot more productive than worrying about what your 'friends' think. Take the bull by the horns, young man!

your friends dont sound like very good friends. go to the meeting, get a killer bike park made. then when your "friends" come and ask to ride tell them to suck a dick.

I have "friends" like that too. but I like to call them acquaintances

well at one point they were my best friends, i guess not anymore. the thing is if the town gives me land i cant really tell them that theyre not allowed to bike there.

Some jumps and such on private land is a very different thing from a publicly owned and accessible bike park. And that last, a publicly accessible bike park, is what you want to lobby your town council for. Right? The fact that your friends are building some jumps on their own property is irrelevant. Would a town close all the children's playgrounds just because a few people built their own playgrounds in their backyards? Of course not. So it doesn't matter one wit that your friends are building a "bike park" of their own. What matters is that your town has no facility right now for residents who like to ride bike. Present your case. Show that their are bikers interested in a park. Explain how a public-run park would benefit the town.

Best of luck tomorrow.

Yep. New PhotoShop trick I taught myself a couple weeks ago. Thought I'd have to use ImageReady but the feature is embedded right in PS.
