Computer Recommendations?
I want to get a computer for my bike (and one as an x-mas gift for my brother) and I've been reading some mixed reviews on most of the products.
What are your recommendations on a good computer? Are wireless units overrated?
I'd prefer a unit with speedometer/odometer/timer/cadence. The cheaper the better but I don't want a POS either.

My frind got some sort of cateye and its pretty cool. Its not wireless, but I believe wireless would be better because of less tangle, espically if u have v brakes. My teacher had a cateye, but it went missing on the trail so make sure u get a good holder.

I'm afraid to put a computer on my mtb because it will probably get smashed when I take a wicked diggah.

Does anyone here find that the wired unit is a PITA? Does the wire ever cause any problems or get in the way?

However, what DOES seem to kill wireless is COLD temperatures. In the 30s, my computer stops working.

I have a wireless Specialized 'puter on my bike. It has a cadence function, but I don't use it. It's served me well for the last 3 years or so.

Thanks for the replies all, I have chosen to buy the Cateye Strada. Customer reviews of the Cateye computers were mostly positive and they are a good choice for someone with a limited budget. I picked up 2 of them on Ebay for 55 bucks, shipping in.
