The Devil's Staircase, bunched panties, mullet hair, turtles, and a skull.

What do these things have in common? Not a damn thing, other than being things seen while riding during my last few days off. Ended up bailing on one day of riding, my first day off. Working my 7p-7a nights, some days it just feels good to sleep/lounge around the house/do nothing. I think I baked a batch of banana-cranberry muffins that day. How's that for productive?

The coolest bike hauler in the parking lot.

Meant to be an uphill move, with the flow of the trail. Very easily cleaned going the other direction, very hard climbing up it. You enter into it from a climb, too. I've managed to get about a bike length past the Y at the bottom.

A little washed out on the pic. Ahem. This one has a very lumpy entry up top, with some tight cornering required at slow speed. After the very short bottom runout, you have a quick left turn.

The end of a skinny on a new section of trail. This is the wide end, about 30' up from the start.

Another part of the new section. I'ts new enough that the softness gave some less than ideal traction at times, and a lot of the rock was a touch on the slippery side.

Ah! A new fork for the hardtail came. As soon as the shipping box was empty, my mechanic took advantage of that state.

I replaced this fairly beat down Pike...with one nearly identical, but three years newer. One without the nasty stanchion gouges I'd recently put on.

The old one worked well, but even with proper seal and oil changes, it was getting a bit long in the tooth.

One of my favourite non-hucking tight and twisty trails I've ridden around here so far: Debacle.

I skipped some other trail options that day, in order to loop around and hit it up again.

Pssst, any mods want to fix my title for me? I'm not sure what a staricase is... Self editing isn't working.

Spot the part, and tell me what it is.

Does this mean I'm going to like this trail section?

Most likely. This certainly does. Pre-party, party, post-party. Sweet.

Sometimes you just have to throw your own party.

Get down, get down.

Lie around and soak up some sun.

Business in the front, party in the back.

Serious businness.

What are they?

From another spot I explored for the first time last week. Excellent stuff, with a ***** ton of loop options. I've got to get back with someone who knows the place. Good stuff, but a guided ride would be much better. I'll even bribe them with beer.

thank you for the great pics. looks like you had a great time. I lost count of the face plant opportunities I would certainly experience were I to ride with you.

Looking at these pics reminds me that I definitely should get out this weekend while the weather is good.

did you take the panties as a souvenir?

cheers

Nice tech rock crawling. I wish I had more of that close by.

p.s. Thanks for the package. UPS delivered yesterday. I missed that thong.
#2. Looks like there were pedal reflectors strategically placed in the sculpture as well.
