Magura vs Avid Liquid 7 (on Enduro SL)

Looking at the Specialized Website...

For 2008, Specialized moved the Enduro SL models down one level in name.

2007 Pro (SL fork) -> 2008 Expert (SL fork)
2007 Expert (std fork) -> 2008 Comp (w/ SL fork)
2007 Comp (std fork) -> extinct (std fork = extinct too)

The only substantive chang in the transition from 2007 Pro to 2008 Expert... they changed the Magura Marta brakes over to Avid Liquid 7 Ultimates.

As I have access to picking up eiher an '07 Pro or an '08 Expert... and I'm looking for opinions on how these two brake sets compare.

Equivalent? Avids certainly are a more "accessible" name, so more likely to find service and support and parts... but do they spec as well and perform as well as the Maguras?

everyone i know who have used the Magura disc brakes have had nothing but problems with keeping them adjusted and from squeaking. I would get the avid 7 ultimates.

Avid Liquid 7's? Is that a new model? Guess my Juicy 7's are obsolete.

ya ya, Having done a little video editing, its hard to separate Avid from Liquid.

Clearly, I meant Avid Juicy 7 Ultimate.

Update: I ordered the '08. The '08 Expert is equivalent to the '07 Pro, and it appears to me that Specialized reworked the forks and the brakes.

The Juicy 7's are the same size rotors as the Magura's... and the Avids are more common, so I decided it was a safer bet to go this route.

Can't wait til my bike comes in.
