got a bunch of new stuff! (pics)
anyways, after my trip to downieville, my mtn bike was lookin and riding pretty sad, rear pivot was creakin, wasnt shifting right, skiping on the second chainring, etc ... all good.

Basically i had the following done new raceface crank new raceface bottom bracket (non splined) new chain new rear casette new rear pivot new rear deraileur all new cables avid brake things (mechanic put these on, dunno what the advantage is) rear wheel trued front fork lubed rear fork adjusted and tuned various parts were bent or ****ed up in some way, he fixed all that ... anyways on with the rest of the pics I didnt even think i would get the bike back today, so i didnt even have my roof rack on my car ... so i hadda put it in the back seat ... cant just put it in the trunk cause i got subs back there. hadda unclip the pass seatbelt and scoot the pass seat forward http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...c/fb47b29b.jpg its in there! http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...d/fb47b28e.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...3/fb47b285.jpg and the rest of my ****s all in the front seat! http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...c/fb47b277.jpg got the bike out ... lookin goooooood http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...d/fb47a878.jpg |

how much did all of those things cost you?

you dont even wanna know ... i got the crank, bottom bracket, and rear casette as a gift, then paid $40 for the rear deraileur, had to get $60 in other parts the bike needed, and $40 in labor ... overall not too bad.

Nice choice with the cranks, BB and chain. I'm running the same setup. Those brake-release thingies do look interesting. I'm guessing they're supposed to make it easier to engage and disengage the brake cables? BTW, that old BB does make me cringe. Did you change your gearing or just do an exact replacement?
