and finally after almost 2 weeks my bike is done!

Basically i had the following done
new raceface crank
new raceface bottom bracket (non splined)
new chain
new rear casette
new rear pivot
new rear deraileur
all new cables
avid brake things (mechanic put these on, dunno what the advantage is)
rear wheel trued
front fork lubed
rear fork adjusted and tuned
various parts were bent or ****ed up in some way, he fixed all that ...

anyways on with the rest of the pics

I didnt even think i would get the bike back today, so i didnt even have my roof rack on my car ... so i hadda put it in the back seat ... cant just put it in the trunk cause i got subs back there.

hadda unclip the pass seatbelt and scoot the pass seat forward

how much did all of those things cost you?

Melt 08-25-03 07:34 PM

you dont even wanna know ... i got the crank, bottom bracket, and rear casette as a gift, then paid $40 for the rear deraileur, had to get $60 in other parts the bike needed, and $40 in labor ... overall not too bad.

Nice choice with the cranks, BB and chain. I'm running the same setup. Those brake-release thingies do look interesting. I'm guessing they're supposed to make it easier to engage and disengage the brake cables? BTW, that old BB does make me cringe. Did you change your gearing or just do an exact replacement?
