What is the best dual suspansion bikes for under 100$?

I'm trying to figure out which mountian bikes to get. I'm going to buy a pair of folding bikes for work travel and a pair of mountain bikes for sport and trips.. The problem is that I'm short on money (NYC Student says it all) so my budget will be under 100$.
I'm still not sure which bikes to get, maybe you think I should go with a used pair, I don't mind- I would just love to read any of your opinions on which brand, type and whatever to get..

So,
Please advice me.

Thanks.

Honestly not gonna be too much to pick from for that price range, unless 'they fell offa truck' or something. Start hitting the pawn shops and you can read reviews online to get an idea of MSRPs, components, what you're looing for etc. and you can go from there. Good luck!

Don't listen to them. Of course you can have two mtbikes for <$100.

Hell, it only costs $39.99.

Not good at math, either, are you? The cheapest bike on there is $69.99. Double that and you're over your budget.

Try again.

the cheaest you could do is like $150 after tax.
and yes those bikes are incredibly cheap, i guess you could buy them if you wanted to waste 150 bucks

I WANT TO BUY 1 (UNO, THE NUMBER BEFORE 2 AND AFTER 0!!! YOU KNOW.. ONE!!!!!) BIKE WHICH MEANS THAT A BIKE FOR 69.99$ WILL BE :
ONE BIKE UNDER 100$!

I hope that more complicated things will not take so long and hard as this simple thing. OMG

you said a pair. let's consult a dictionary:
"a set of two things used together or regarded as a unit : a pair of gloves"

The cheapest dual suspension bike in your link is $99.99. As long as there is no shipping or tax involved, you've answered your own question.

Enjoy the bicycling experience!

Dude, don't try to buy a new bike for that. What everybody here is not telling you, because they assume you'll work it out, is that a $70 bike will be a total POS. It will fall to pieces if you try to ride it at all hard. Forget dual suspension altogether, and look for a second hand older rigid MTB with decent components, something like a Specialized HardRock. Don't assume you're going to get a useable new folder for that price either.

others have said it . . . do not bother at that price point. If you want a bike and all you have is $100, full any type of suspension is out. Anything new is out. Anything legal is a stretch. I do not mean to push someone away from cycling or any activity, but $100 is not a realistic budget.

At $100, a good pair of shoes is the best option.

Sort of like asking for a good parking spot in NYC in a safe popular area for $10 a month. Just is not possible

I was going to refrain, but I didn't like the tone of the last post. You're using the wrong tone.

(plus I wanted to grab it before it got edited away)

On a serious note, I second Craigslist.

Save up for a while and get a decent bike. You can get an pretty good hardtail for $400 these days. Or get a part time job. If you already have one, get another. I got through college like that and bought all the beer and pizza that I wanted.

This feels suspiciously like a troll, or he/she really does have no idea what is going on, or he/she does not use the english language/currency as his/her primary language. Notice the misspelling of suspension, and the fact that they are asking for a "pair" of bikes, possibly confusing the terminology with a pair of shoes, skates, skis, etc. So, greendot: where are you from originally?

Again, math is not your strong point. A "pair" indicates two, the number after one and before three. Here's a tip: F*ck off.

BMC All Mountain with full SRAM XO, Avid Juicy 7 w/ carbon levers, XTR wheelset, Rockshox sid up front
w/ fox rear, etc.

That may leave you a little for gloves and a helmet.
