Rock Shox Tora 302 Opinions
I have a chance to buy a 2007 used Rock Shox Tora 302 fork with lockout and the handlebar lockout mount for $90 including shipping to my house? Is this a good deal? I am a newbie and want to upgrade a low end RST fork on my bike. Any help would be appreciated.

I have that fork on my bike. Depending on the shape of the fork, it sounds like a good deal. The fork is ok. It bottoms out on me sometimes. I wouldn't recommend it.

It came stock on my old 07 Rockhopper Comp and only after 2-3 rides the fork crapped out on me and I had to get it replaced under warranty. The manufacturer replaced it with and upgrade and threw away the 302. I would not recommend this fork, invest some more money and get a higher end.

The Tora is the exact same fork as the Recon. The only difference being the use of steel vs aluminum. Performance is identical, the exception being the weight. About 1/2 a pound difference.
Plus...the Tora is basically identical to a 2005 Reba. They share many of the same parts.
