SS 69er Recomendations

I recently saw the new Trek 69'er SS at my LBS. Although I think the price was ridiculous for a SS bike, I liked the concept of it, and now I kind of want a SS 69er.

I don't want the Trek though. Any links to other companies that make SS 69ers? I've had no luck searching.

go custom. I think companies like waltworks and blacksheep will make one for you, for a pretty good price too.

The price is excessive due to the fork. I've been told by my Trek dealer it's about half the price of the bike. I don't see any percentage in their lying. It is a fun bike to ride, I got to demo it (and a Fisher HiFi, nice bike ) and had a pretty good time with it. The twenty minutes I spent on it led me to believe the fork is quality but overkill. Fork plus 29 wheel was great but then you've got the rigid little bouncy f*cker right behind it. Mind you this was most likely due to the SPD pedals and my Eggbeater cleats allowing for SUPER GOOD conection to the pedals but I still think a Reba or Fox could work while lowering the price some. Maybe not the Fox, don't know what their cost on that is.
P.S The pedal mishap was my fault entirely, I refused the mechs offer to swap my pedals as I planned a quick 5 minute ride but had so much fun I stretched it out a little longer.

The geared hardtail version is a bit cheaper. You could sell the shifters and deraileurs, SS it, and come in at a very reasonable price.
