Getting a new fork and chain tensioner w/ chain

Christmas has come and passed and now i have splurge money. I've got this frame:

https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...ort+Oe+05.aspx

and I plan on putting this fork on it:

https://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-2006-M...QQcmdZViewItem

as well as this chain tensioner:

https://pricepoint.com/detail/15248-0...hain-Guide.htm

I need you guys to send me in the right direction for a long lasting chain, and confirm that the fork I picked out will work. I don't have a clue how the chain tensioner gets installed some some help with that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Decent frame if you are only riding XC type terrain and NOT doing a lot of drops and jumps. For will work as well.

As for the Dewlie, unless you really need a bash ring I would say save the cash and pick up a BlackSpire Stinger for 25$. Mounts the same way as the Dewlie you have linked to only it is just a lower arm and roller.

You will need an "E" type bb to hold either the Dewlie or the Stinger on. Pretty simple to mount.

Stinger (the tensioner for the frame you are looking at is in the lower right of the pic)

Is that going to stop all of my chain rattle then? Any idea where I could pick up that stinger from? And I'm still a little confused on the installation, is there a manual online or a tutorial or anything. I couldn't find a darn thing anywhere on tensioner installation guides. Thanks a bunch.

Your LBS can order the Stinger from BTI or BlackSpire or you could search the on-line shops.

As far as getting rid of chain rattle, if you ride off road you will have/hear chain rattle even if you go with a single ring up front and a full DH style chain guide. If ya do not want to hear the chain then look for a bike with a belt drive system.

Do you know how to install a bottom bracket? If so then you would just slip the guide on the bb before putting the bb through the frame. If not then check out Park Tools web site for the "How To" section.

If you are still confused about the guide installation check out the tech section at
E.13 and look for the 2002-2005 DRS instructions for an E-type bottom bracket.
