As an entry level mt. bike, should I pull the trigger on this Yukon? He's asking $200, might be able to get him a little lower b/c he's been trying to sell it for 7-8 months now. Good deal for this bike?
His ad says: 2006 Giant Yukon Mnt. Bike. Great condition, well maintained and only light trail use. http://mulletrock.googlepages.com/yu...yukon-full.jpg |
I wouldn't recommend shooting a bike. It's constructed mostly of metal - which could cause a ricochet.
I'm pretty sure the guy who owns it would be pissed as well. |
I figure it'd be safer/cheaper than shooting my g/f. I keed. I keed. I would never shoot a bike.

I would like to add that the bike looks like a "women specific" ride.
|
It does look like a womans frame.
|
Haha. Goes to show how much I know about mt. bikes. Thanks for pointing that out. I still might buy it for target practice.;)

Although here is this years men's model and it has a somewhat similiar fram

I think that is the men's version for 06. I found this store that has one and it doesn't say it is a ladies frame.

it looks like you could get it new for the same price?
|
I'd still call you a woman, but what can you do.
|
Ah. Ok. Thanks, Cannondaler. I have my eye on a Cannondale F400 too, which I would rather have, but if it falls through I still might consider the Yukon. I'm mostly on the road, but thought it would be fun to get a little muddy and I didn't want to drop a lot of cash. So, this one still might work out.

Definitely go with the cannondale if you can.
Not that I'm partial to Cannondales or anything. |
Buy the F400. srsly.
|
Yeah, I want the C-dale and I hope the auction doesn't get out of my budget. Thanks.
|
the bike is cheap!, you should get it and sell it on ebay and make about $150
|
Woohoo. I picked up the c-dale f400 today. Love it! Came with 2 sets of disc wheels: one set of knobbies and one set of slicks. Pictures coming soon.

Good show.
Looking forward to the pics. |
Couple of quick pics. Better ones to come.
Cannondale f400 L. Came with 2 sets of wheels: sun ryhno lites w/ knobbies and Sun Black eye w/ slicks both with Shimano Deore hubs. Mixed sram x7 and shimano components. TruVativ Isoflow crankset. Not a fan of the saddle and prolly gonna replace it. Took it for a ride with the slicks on this evening. Fun stuff. Look fwd. to getting it on the trails. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2219/...a2b91dd5_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2290/...3e16dacd_b.jpg |
Nice bike, but HOLY STEM.
As long as it fits, it's fine by me. |
niceness
|
Definitely needs a bigger saddle.
Nice ride. Headshock bikes always look nice and clean to me. |
Ride it like you stole it :)
|
Ride it like it's your girlfriend's sister.
