Buy a Faith 3?
I am getting back into MTBing and I'm looking at getting a Giant Faith 3 complete. I use to MTB and left for BMXing but I wanna go back to MTBing, I dont wanna spend alot and wanted to see if anyone recommended this bike for a starter? i will upgrade as parts break, not too worried, just as long as the frame dosent fail.

If you are looking at a dirt jumper, wouldn't you like to stick with a hard tail? If you are going into a fully, go with something more 4X, the smaller rear travel the better.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. A 'true freeride' bike is going to be much larger and heavier than would be appropriate for what you described. If what you are talking about is a big travel cliff dropper, it is not going to be the versatile bike you say you want.

They do sell complete bikes. They do have prices on their website. If you want a bike that will do everything I would suggestion either the bottle rocket or the preston.

The preston fr does have less travel, but its takes the same amount of a beating as the bottle rocket can. The reason why I say this is because I can see the Bottle Rocket being hard to dirt jump on.

Apparently they're a pretty good jumper for an FS bike, from what I've heard.

Go to the Transition site, add the price of a frame, fork, and component kit together...there's your price. Or go to the dealer section and figure out which dealer is near you...then request a price.

I think I have an idea of what you want now. Good luck finding that middle ground. The bottle rocket looks like a good choice.
