Suspension Fork suggestion
OK.... So i hate the fork on my bike now and im looking at a new fork for xmas... I do aggresive XC with probably a max of 3 foot jumps..
Ive been looking at the marzocchi products like the new 2004 mx comp and a dirt jumper 3...
100mm travel would be good or anything higher but not too much higher than that ( Going on Specialized hardrock Sport)
My price Limit is £200.... Which in USD is $322.92 Exactly
Im not really sure what type of fork im looking for though... (air, Coil)
Hope you can help me out and suggest a good fork
Thx Alot

How big are you? If you arepost 200pnd I would look at a coil fork. I believe a Marz MX should be good for price.

FYI 1 stone = 14 lbs, so you are 1681bs. You are not too big for a nice air fork, but it may be hard to find one in your price range.

I run the 03 MX Comp ETA which is coil/ETA one side and air the other. It's great for XC but I wouldn't jump with it. You can get the MX fitted with coil both sides and they can be reduced to 85mm travel, but they won't be warrantied for jumping. I'd go for the Dirtjumper.

Try and find a Marzocchi '03 Marathon S.
It is a dual sprung XC fork and it retails (at least here in the States) for 379 USD. It is a litle more then what you have but it would work well for what you intend to use it for.

I prefer the Marzocchi over the RS, but the MX Comp vs the MX Comp with ETA is all a matter of how much $ you want to spend.

I'd go for one of the Marzocchi forks in that price range. As for the ETA feature - just depends if a lock-down gizmo is worth it in your mind. I don't think there's anything between the two Marz forks otherwise.
btw a Duke XC came standard on my '03 Klein Attitude. It's given me the willies tryin to get it setup correctly. You'll spend much less time farting around with one of the Marz forks.

I find the ETA is great for putting in road miles, particularly if you've got any climbing. Marzocchi's have a reputation for superb reliability and ease of maintenance (largely lack of) but they do take a while to bed in.

If you're wanting to do a bit of jumping/drop offs have you thought about a 2003 Marzocchi Z1, they're a similar price to the MXComps and are designed for more aggressive riding than the MXComps - if your frame will take 130mm.
