Best socks for MTB riding.
I always believed that wool would be the best for riding, but today I went another LBS (the closest one) and noticed that the most expensive one was like 80% cotton, 15% Nylon(I belive, or maybe it was acrylic), and 5% spandex, they were FOX brand so am guessing they were good.
So whats the best type of socks, for smooth riding?
Also, today I was on walmart, and saw a bike tire(tyre) that said ''does not get punctuated, or flatten, guarranted'' It was a Bell brand i believe. Is this possible?
If you use a digital pressure gauge (for bike) in a car, will the gauge get damaged? Is running at the highest psI the wheel can handle a good wise idea?

I have NIKE Elite running socks for running and cycling. They are 61% polyester, 24% tactel, 14% nylon and 1% spandex. They are a bargain at $12 a pair and I highly recommend them. ASICS Kayano are a nice too.
Air pressure is air pressure. It doesn't matter if it's in a car tire or bike tire. You need to check the specs for your actual gauge if you have them. My digital tire gauge is rated up to 150 psi for what it's worth.

Use whatever feels comfortable. I've used everything from cotton to wool to synthetics depending on conditions. All of them have covered my feet.

My favorite biking sock brand is Pearl Izumi (PI logo) for summer and winter socks, REI carries a lot of their styles and they are usually better priced than the lbs. They seem to hold up decently in the laundry too.

go to sierratradingpost.com & order whatever cycling socks they have on sale...
seriously, though, the concept of cycling socks - as opposed to regualr socks - is that you do not want your sock retaining sweat while you ride. Cotton retains moisture, wool and synthetics usually don't... so, the less cotton, the better. In theory. Wear whatever's comfy & fits your budget. Check out thesockguy.com
