Spent about five hours up on Beacon today; pushing up, bombing down. Got a fair amount of workout on the Gran Mal of both DH courses plus a dozen or more runs on the new DS course. That long sled isn't exactly made for the tight turns but it was fun anyway:
Kyle killing a berm:
Ruth on her new Transition Syren - - fresh off the boat:
Kyle and Ruth:
Kyle and Eric mixin' it up:
. . . and me trying my hand at it (I sucked but it was fun):
All-in-all a very fun day. My legs were so spent that on my last two pushes to the top of the DH, my legs kept cramping up but it was worth it. The weather and the dirt were perfect.

Stiil on the GM? What's the status on the blindside?
Nice pics guys, making me jealous. Rain + broken helmet + groud shipping = no riding.

^^Blindsides are on the boat but not due in to Port of Seattle until May 9. Supposed to be in our hands around May 12.
Gran Mal goes to Sea Otter next week with new R1 fork, Stroker Trails, Syncros stem, bars, Mental Mag pedals and FR saddle, plus Minion DHFs front and rear. BTW, I LOVE the Strokers so far.

Here are three pics. Note that the bridge is half dry, half wet in the first one. Second one is me, after climbing out of that mud puddle. Third is exactly what I saw coming around a corner. Follow the skid, it tells the story.

soon, soon, my snow isn't even melted. I tried today and found it to be rather disheartening. I am excited(:

Most of our trails are still wrecked, so it'll be a few weeks.
This is all I got to offer for now:

From a sloppy wet one on Saturday:
A couple from today.
Hit up something new (to me) close by. Gets very little bike traffic - meant as a hiker trail, though there is no signage anywhere saying no bikes, and the state website doesn't mention no bikes... Steep up/steep down, lots of ledgy steps up and down, with lots of spine lines up and down, lots of very tight cornering with tight trees. I'll be checking out more in that area for sure. Got me my trials workout for the week on this one.
There is a half bike length flat spot between the two rock step section, and the whole thing comes right after a narrow and rocky tight 90deg. right hander that you have about a hlaf bike length our of before hitting this stuff. Good, good stuff.
