Got a new bike!!!

Yesterday my wife and I picked up a couple of bikes and a baby trailer. My wife ended up choosing the trek 7000WSD and I chose the giant yukon. Heres a picture of my bike in the storage/office. I havent cleared out our closet yet to hold both bikes.

I have to keep the reflectors for my daughter. So far this weekend I couldnt take her out cause the shop sold us a display trailer which is "suppose" to have all parts but it was missing the ball coupler that attaches onto the bike. Thankfully saturday and today I was able to get a babysitter while going out riding with the wife. Today was a blast cause we did some mud, well at least I did. Im so pleased with the yukon. It fits me really well. I will be doing some solo riding on more rough terrain, when I get a chance.

Put the kid on the handlebars. She'll enjoy the view better.

for the trailer make sure its nice and padded against your frame. I had one I used to haul my sister around on my BMX and moms old huffy and it scratched the frames up bad.

The baby trailer goes on the wifes bike- Or that is the way over here- Dad has to keep all his energy to go to work the next day----To pay for the baby.

The trailer I have is a chariot caddie. The mounting system is very easy and impossible to add scratches to the frame. At least what I see. I will take pics and post them when I get the coupler. The store didnt realize the couple/flange was missing.

so far I've gotten some good reception of the Yukons. I had my hands on a high-end Enduro, but I had questions about it and ... called my brother - ex-mtb racer and utlimate bicycle guru to me - and he talked me down from that bike and I went for this - mostly because I prefer cross country type of riding versus some extreme downhill etc and... ugh. Plus I knew what I wanted for parts on a bike and the Enduro was a 2002 (new) and didn't have some of the new(er) stock parts on it I wanted ...

I've been a converted roadie for a while (but shhhhhhh, still leads rides for the bicycle club - may even do it on one of the mtb's, hehe)

No problem with leading a ride on a mountain bike.

Last week had a new shop open so the "club" decended on the grand opening with a combined all categories ride. I didn't leave with the "A" riders on their 55 mile aggressive but one of those had a helmet camera and broadcast the ride live back to the shop. When we returned from our 32 mile ride we watched the live broadcast as we chowed down on the free food. The person with the camera was on a mountain bike with the "A" group, and at one point even pulled for several miles!
