prob with voodoo dambala dropouts?

i'm considering getting a dambala, but from what i've read in a few places it seems the sliding dropouts have been known to not stay put (ie. sliding when they shouldn't). how big of a problem is this, and have they fixed it? i think i'm looking at an '07, or maybe it's an '06.

if it matters, i only weigh 140-150 lbs, so maybe i won't experience this?

anyone know?

thanks...

I had an '06 Voodoo Dambala and the dropouts would not stay put. I even sent it back once and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I got rid of it and bought a Niner SIR and have had no problems with the EBB. On the other hand, a friend of mine who probably weighs in at around 140lbs (I'm about 190) has a Voodoo Wanga and has never experienced any slipping problems. I think in the same price range, the On-One seems like it might be a better design.

From what I've heard, some people have this problem, and some don't. I hear some people do, and then grease the slider bolts and tighten them well and they don't have any more problems.

Anyway, I hope I don't have any issues - my dambala comes into the shop within a week!

hmmm... this is a tough call. it seems like some ppl can't stand how it slipping it is such a problem, and then for others it isn't a problem at all... i am really liking this frame, i might have to get it.

anyone have sizing advice? i am 5'10'' pretty average proportions i think, i wear 30" inseam pants, but i think my cycling inseam is probably 32". i am thinking about the 18"...

I'd say go for it, and just tighten it down a lot, but don't strip the threads! You can always buy new sliders too if you do. I'm 5'11" and am going for the 18" frame. It's a real toss up. Part of me wishes I went with the 19". I'll find out soon enough whether I went for the right size!

I have had zero issues, and I am a 260lb pedal masher.

Heh, I'll find out if I have issues pretty quickly, I'm 210 and am going to be riding it fixed.
