My Yukon has Shimano Alivio shifters, Hayes max4 (i think, i haven't looked at them in awhile) and Deore 8spd rear derailluer. I can get SRAM x.5 9spd shifters, RD and Avid BB5 mechanical brakes for $150. All new. Is this a decent upgrade or should I keep running what I'm running? Thanks guys.

You'd need a new cassette and chain if you were to switch to 9 speed...

Price doesn't look especially good, about the same as ebay...
