do you pack one?
if so, what do you pack?
i'm thinkin' it might be prudent to make one in case i or one of my friends crashes on the trails.

Assorted band-aids, gauze, tweezers, alcohol wipes, that cloudy gel stuff, a couple elastic wraps.

panty liners and athletic tape make awesome extra large band aid. they are cheaper than buying the real band aids too! i carry a few of them in my camel back on any given ride. other than that, i don't bring much. i really want to get a good first aid kit going though but never really knew what it should include...

I bring elmers school glue. Closes wounds like a champ and can reattach the sole to your shoe. Saved my life one time 30 miles from home when I went head first into a rock face. Sounds silly but it works for me.

Probably not a bad idea to cary something to stop severe bleeding. That's probably the most common of the life threatening things you'd face on the trail. I wouldn't go with any typical "first aid" type kids since they're more about comfort and convenience (band-aids, asprin, sunscreen etc.) than actual life-saving stuff.
