Advice on Full Suspension bike

Hi,

I have a Trek Y-26 that I got about 4 years ago, and i am begining to outgrow it. Also the InSync front forcs are in bad shape, and the bike is a bit heavy. I am begining to search for a new bike. I looked at hard tails (Fisher Marlin, Trek 4300, Fisher Wha Whoo), but i like full susp. The trails around here are prety hilly, bumpy and rocky.
What would a good full suspension bike be (reasonably priced. not over 1000$) and if one dosent exist, what would a good hard tail be?

Thankyou,
Collin

As a rule of thumb, a good FS bike will always cost over 1k or it'll just be a glorified, bloated pogo-stick.

For good hardtails under 1k, look at:

Trek 6700
Specialized Rockhopper Comp
Scott Scale 70
Giant XTC 1

There are more...

For once, I have to agree with ProFail. For under $1k I'd suggest a hardtail.
