26 West, Opening Day....

It was a great time at 26 west today. It's a new park with new people but things are going to be good. There was a really good turnout of about 50 riders(just a guess). There was some confusion at the start of the day but things seemed to smooth out as the day went on. I only heard a couple of folks complain, most were understanding of the hard job of getting a new park off the ground. They were going to keep the park open extra time to make up for getting a late start, but mother nature had other plans. I met up with a couple of folks from the Re:cycles crew and we had a blast. There are a lot of tweaks to be made here and there but it's going to be a great place to ride.

I had my daughter on camera duty. Here are some pics from the day..........

It started out a great day in WNC......

The red bull girls were there.......

Like I said, it took a little while to get started.....

but we got moving......

I'm crusing in after my first run......

There was a good vibe on the mountain....

Does Mrs. Mtnbiker66 know what her husband and son were doing during the gap session?

Dern, just got the message this morn. (mon.) - We'll be @ the finals they are still in November right? I wish 26W would do something to keep info. up to date on the website - especially things that generate extra capital for them (ie: more racers to races). Thanks for the info. J

Nope, I think that was it. There will be DS and Dh racing at Adventure Village in Brevard NC on thanksgiving weekend. The ds course there is sick nasty.
