This reminds me of the maple bar question
L.L. Bean: large online/mail-order retailer of "outdoorsy" clothing -- like the clothing section of REI but without the practical technical features of true outdoor wear. Eddie Bauer is much the same way - - citified 'outdoorsy'-look clothing that doesn't really cut it in the outdoors. Both are heavy on the home decor stuff too and have lost the outdoor gear sections that once helped define them.

Get yourself some appropriate eye protection and wear the friggen things. I'm the poster boy for not doing so while riding.
Or, just say feck it, you can still do fine with one eye left intact.

Pcad, you don't need to bring your self-loathing machismo into the Mountain Biking forum. Here we don't judge what you wear nor what what you ride, but we do look out for each other. Here, take a hit and feel better. You can put your armour back on when you wander back to the Road Biking forum.

Sorry Pcad, keep the fenders and you better put your reflectors back on.
Oh, watch out for cars and bears to.

I don't look scared in that photo. I look bored. Super hero outfit. You MTB stoners ride around in friggin cargo pants. STFU, roll another joint, and for God's sake shave those legs.

No, I think GMonkey is right. You do look a little scared.
Plus you're bent over/weight back but you're not going down hill.
Your clothes look like you should be riding motorcross or figure skating.
And as for the fenders well they just don't look right on a mountain bike.
I hope photo #2 is better?

I have since eschewed the Cback most days for a single wb with plastic rubber banded over the top to protect me from wood swamp poisoning.
'where is the rear view mirror that should be dangling from the helmet?'
You MTB Weenies do occupy your own little corner of Fred Hell don't you?

as a self-confessed road nazi, i confess that the fenders are over the top. hard-core roadies, and especially 'cross racers, enjoy bathing in mud just as much as MTB dudes, except they like to do it in 40 degree rain.
Eye protection is absolutely necessary, only thing scarier than crazy Pcad in the woods is a "one-eyed" Pcad. A hell-bent superhero with no depth perception. yeah....

You look like you just saw Godzilla. You don't need fenders to ride through a grass field. I think roadies have the bigger rep of doing drugs there Pcad. What's wrong with cargo shorts??? Lance Armstrong was in them at a marathon race a couple months back.

I don't think you guys could be bigger idiots. If that was possible, you could be Roadies.

I'm still wondering how you got your tripod and your camera timed to
catch such a great photo?
Dude you need to redeem yourself by showing us a better picture of yourself.
Sticks and Stones will break your bones but pictures last a life time.

Quite true; as evidenced in this photo and caption from a recent road event:
In a clever, last-ditch effort to avoid yet another doping scandal,
each team member takes a hit of the inhaled masking agent.

You don't deserve a better picture of Pcad. Plus I don't have one. Here's a more recent picture sans bike crap.
