VOTE for new Rim Color

I'm building a new wheelset for my bike this summer and am having a hard time picking the color rims, so I am giving YOU the chance to make the wrong decision for me.

I have Black Hope Pro 2 hubs and will be using Spank Subrosa rims. The rims come in Black, White or Green (brown too, but let's ignore those). I currently have a black set of Loco wheels that I will use for my street tires, So maybe something different would be nice. The decals on the bike are green on the right side and black on the left but they can be changed to black, white, green or red. Will most likely buy a new fork next year too.

This is just a fun poll. I may or may not actually decide based on this poll. In fact, I might pick the least popular option just to be a meanie. Here are some very crappy PSs to show the colors.

Green for sure - - absolutely hands-down. Bonus that they match the Transition decals well.

You know what they say about green.

They say brown about green? Wait. What? I'm confused.

Sounds good. I like the subtle, stealthy look this would give me.

I have some spares of these if you decide to go with gold Halo Combats instead:

I think the black you've got works the best. Even though everyone says the green goes well with the decals, it is a different kind of green. It just doesn't sit well in my mind. I say, repaint the entire bike. :thumb:

White Syncros rims.

Green/grey combo has added bonus. If he's waaayyyy out on the trail and gets hungry, he can hang a couple trebble hooks on it, throw it out in the lake and maybe catch him a bass.

Yea, that is the one thing bugging me. I would have ordered the green by now if it weren't for that. I can change the decals though if I end up not liking the different greens.

My one friend told me to paint the frame, but I have never successfully painted anything that's metal. I originally wanted the black frame, but they were sold out in my size. Thought about the purple frame, but chickened out at the last minute.

Mmm... Delicious bass.

These decals are way too awesome for me.

I have the base Adobe Illustrator file for the decals that I got straight from Kevin at Transition in native size. You could take the file to a local sign and banner shop and have them run it out on exact-matching green vinyl (provided they have it). Check some shops and, if you're interested, PM me and I'll see that you get a file.

Any experience with them? Very little info on the rims that I have found, but they sound pretty great besides being really hard to take tires on and off. I have some good levers though.

Sounds great! I put the downtube decal on crooked anyway.

Green wheels have gotten 55% of the vote! Hurry and vote now, or all of you will have to see these bright, annoying eyesores every time I post pictures.

PM'd back. Lemme know. Haha! I very carefully aligned my headtube decal between my stanchions, made sure it was plumb, stuck it, burnished it down . . . then realized that my handlebars had not been straight. So now my headtube badge is off-center :o.
