Who has had any form of influence on your riding style?
The answers I know will vary from others and give some reasoning behind it as well.
For me my influences are:
Brian Lopes for the nature of the take off at the line and the smooth turns in 4x and Dual Slalom.
John Cowan for style.
Josh Bender for the risk taking.
To sum it all up I am a super smooth rider with a lot of style and power, who is not afraid to go big.

I only look up to the people that I ride with that are better than me. How can you compare what you are doing to what some professional is doing when you have never even met or ridden with them?

Enh, I've never met any pros or anything so there's not much influence there. There are lots of riders that I like, but all the influences on my riding have been from friends.

Everybody else was listing pros 
When I was younger I used to ride with a bunch of friends. The person who had the biggest influence on my riding was my friend Austin. We used to ride together all the time. I learned to pick good lines and climb just by following him.

For me it would be Wade Simmons. No one is as smooth as he is in the rough stuff. He might not be fast (he is) but on really technical terrain he is king. Dylan Tremblay. Street rider but smooth like butter and stylish like bmx rider. Awesome to watch. Gracia for his speed and his ability to do tricks even though he is a dhiller only. Bender for his all out balls. He has nothing else going for him but the size of his gonads...but he has helped push freeriding to new levels..whether or not anyone will admit it or not.
Oh and I have met gracia, dylan and wade.
I ride like a donkey. I am not smooth, or stylish, or fast. I just love to ride. Someday I might be a good rider but until then...I ride like me

Almost all of the influence on my riding style came from my uncle. I ride VERY similar to how he does.

Huh, it seems as though many people took what I said a bit personally. Maybe it comes from being a musician and hanging arround other drummers like Marvin Smith(Tonight Show), Peter Chris(Kiss), and others. People who are big in name mean nothing to me because they were able to get lucky at who they know for what they do. Sure I could name off a few people that I ride with; but because someone doesn't know them by name and how they ride, it's not worth it to do so.

I'll go oldschool and say Ned Overend, mostly cause when I got into MTBing seriously I got one of his videos and it's helped me alot in my technical riding.

the69 year old man who flew by me on a trail at pocahontas.the younger GIRL who ALMOST caught me at battlefild park.they showed me i am not all that great.im riding thinking im doing very well whenZOOM he blasted by(he waited for me at the end just to let me know he rides pro for Specialzed so i would not feel so bad)never did talk to the lady(or some dude with long hair)cuz i heard them hit a twig when i was getting ready to back off a bit and looked back and out of nowhere here she comes so i blasted on back up and swore if she got by me i would quit ridingLOL.at a fork in the trail about .5miles ahead she went right i went left and never saw again.many of the members here have had a big influence on the equipment i buy.but i mostly have been influenced by those i meet on the trails or in bike shops
