Upgradind a Crossway 625

My spouse is riding an old Mongoose Crossway 625 with Altus front and rear derailleur. I put on a new 34 tooth cassette, and with lots of adjusting, the Altus stuff is not really cutting it. The drop into the small front chainring is iffy most of the time.

I have a Deore M510 long cage I got for another use. Any suggestions on a front derailler to go with this? It has 7 speed grip shifters, which she is ok with. Don't need more speeds either. Looking for good postive front shifts that will work with a 34 rear. Any help, slings, or arrows appreciated.
